Physician Assistant Kathryn Oprandy brings decades of emergency medical experience to the team at Ortho On-Call. From 1995 to 1999, she worked with the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad as a Cardiac Technician/Dive Rescue member. Prior to joining Ortho On-Call, she spent 11 years working in the emergency departments of the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, and Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg.
Kathryn received a BS in Health Sciences at James Madison University, and then returned to JMU in 1999 to become a member of the university’s first class of Physician Assistant students. She completed the PA program in 2001, with special recognition in surgery. Kathryn is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a fellow member of the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants and a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
