Do I need an appointment?

No, if you’re injured or experiencing an orthopaedically-related medical condition then come by our new office where our medical staff is waiting to put you on the road to recovery.
Mon-Sat 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

What type of insurance do you take?

We accept most insurance plans such as Aetna, Anthem PAR/PPO, Anthem Healthkeepers, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Coventry/First Health, Mamsi-MDIPA, OneNEt-Alliance, Optima Health, Optima Choice, Tricare, United Healthcare, Virginia Health Network, and Workers Compensation (Virginia Worker’s Compensation Only). We participate in the following Medicare (Traditional) plans such as Aetna Medicare Advantage, Anthem Medicare Advantage, Healthkeepers CareMore, Humana Medicare, and Virginia Premier. We also participate accept the following Medicaid HMO plans such as Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Anthem Healthkeepers Plus, Optima Health Family Care, and Virginia Premier. If your insurance plan is not listed, please contact your carrier to confirm participating status and be sure to ask your carrier to check under OrthoVirginia as Ortho On-Call is a division of OrthoVirginia.

Do I need an ID?

Yes, all patients are required to present a valid ID at the time of check-in. If no ID is available, we regret that we will not be able to see you.

Where are you located?

Our Ortho On-Call Southside address is 15564 Westchester Commons Way, Midlothian, VA 23113. We are located in the Westchester Shopping center, next to Sweet Frog. We also have another location in the West End at The Westbury Shopping Center, 8901 D Three Chopt Road, Richmond VA 23229.

What will happen when I leave?

If your injury/condition can be treated completely within your visit then you will be given instructions and directions for any care or attention that may be needed. If extended care is needed then follow-up care with a specialist will be arranged for a later date.

Will I be seen by a doctor at Ortho On-Call?

We have both Physician Assistants and a Physician working at Ortho On-Call. Our Physician Assistants are supervised by and are able to immediately consult with physicians with sub-specialty training in Sports Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery, including physicians with practices dedicated to hand and upper extremity, foot and ankle, adult reconstruction, spine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. When seeing one of our Physician Assistants or Physicians at Ortho On-Call, you gain access to a broad range of orthopaedic specialty care coordinated by your Ortho On-Call Provider.

What type of payments do you take?

We accept cash, checks and most major credit cards (excluding American Express).

Do you have any forms I can download before I arrive?

We are constantly striving to make our patients’ visits more efficient. We invite you to begin your new patient registration as soon as you’d like by downloading, printing, and completing your information on the forms by clicking on the links located at the bottom of this page.
